Instructions for Use

SURFACE PREPARATION

All surfaces must be clean, sound and properly cured. Remove all loose materials and surface laitence mechanically, with a wire brush, or by water or sand blasting.

LIMITATIONS

Maximum thickness in one application 2mm. Minimum substrate and ambient temperature 5°C at time of application.

CLEAN UP

Remove uncured SikaTop-Seal 107 from tools and equipment with water, immediately after use. Cured material can only be removed mechanically.

HEALTH PRECAUTIONS

Component A irritant prolonged contact to skin may cause skin sensitisation and eye irritation.
Component B contains portland cement and crystalline free silica. Avoid breathing dust. Exercise care, as with handling any chemical construction product.

SAFETY PRECAUTION

Use adequate ventilation. Avoid breathing dust. Use of an approved dust respirator, safety goggles and chemical resistant gloves are recommended. Immediately remove contaminated clothing.

FIRST AID

Skin Contact: Wash thoroughly with soap and water.

Make good all defects such as honeycombing, large cracks and spalled areas (refer to relevant Sika data sheets on Concrete Repair Products). Any blowholes should be filled by means of Sika MonoTop 620 and allowed to set prior to application of SikaTop-Seal 107.

MIXING PROCEDURE
The consistency of the mix can be adjusted by reducing the amount of Component A (Liquid).

Trowelable Consistency
Shake Component A well before use. Using a clean container, slowly add all of Component B (Powder) to 4,5 litres of Component A (liquid) mixing by hand or mechanical slow speed mixer (mechanical mixing preferred) until a smooth homogeneous mortar is achieved.

For Brushable Slurry Consistency
Using a clean container, add all of Component B (Powder) to all of Component A (Liquid) and mix as per previous instructions until a smooth homogeneous slurry is achieved.

APPLICATION
Dampen the prepared substrate thoroughly with clean water before applying SikaTop- Seal 107.

By Trowel
(Trowelable consistency)
Whilst the substrate is till damp, apply the first coat with a notched trowel and leave to harden (2 - 6 hours). Apply the second coat with a steel float so as to fill grooves and level the surface.

By Brush
(Slurry consistency)
Whilst the substrate is still damp, apply the first coat with a hard bristled brush or broom using horizontal brush strokes, and allow to harden (2 - 6 hours). When the first coat has hardened sufficiently, apply the second coat using vertical brush strokes. A third coat may be necessary in areas of high infiltration.
