Sprung Ridge

Straight sheets may be sprung on site over a rounded structure with a minimum radius of 36 metres.

Curved Sheeting

Curving of all B.M.S. sheets except Lok-Tile, can be achieved by extending the distance between the indentations across the sheet - effectively increasing the radius. Brownbuilt and Klip-Lok can be curved on site resulting in limitations governed only by handling. Supa-Clad has to be transported by road and is limited to a maximum cord height of 2m and sheet length of 12m. The curving of Custom Orb can also be achieved by passing sheets through a set of three profiled steel rollers. Multiple passes are used to progressively reduce the radius of curvature (minimum 7m radius).

Sprung Curved Sheeting

Convex:
The Brownbuilt profile, the Klip-Lok profiles and Custom Orb can be sprung curved over and arched roof, provided the radius of the arch is not less than the min listed for each sheet profile in the following table.
Profile Min. Rad. Purlin Spacing
0,6 & 0,8 CQ Brownbuilt 36m 1,800
0,5 & 0,6 ASTM 446 Grade E 3T Klip-Lok 406 36m 1,800
0,5 & 0,6 ASTM 446 Grade E 3T Custom Orb 12m 1,000
Concave:
Brownbuilt, Klip-lok and Custom Orb sheets can also be sprung to a minimum radii shown in the following table for concave roof applications.
Profile Min. Rad. Purlin Spacing
0,6 & 0,8 CQ Brownbuilt 36m 1,500
0,5 & 0,6 ASTM 446 Grade E 3T Klip-Lok 406 36m 1,800
0,5 & 0,6 ASTM 446 Grade E 3T Custom Orb 12m 1,000
Note: Whenever sheets are sprung slight crease marks may appear in the pans. Increased radii reduces this effect

Curving and Springing

Klip-Lok can be curved to any radius over 800mm by increasing the distance between the 'cranking' indentations across the sheet. Klip-Lok can be sprung to a min. radius of 36m (convex or concave) [see table].
