MATERIALS USED
1. 15mm x 100mm Firestop wall stud.
2. 12,5mm Rhinoboard face layers (Taper edge or Square edge).
3. 38mm x 38mm Timber.
4. Rhinolite plaster.
5. Rhinoboard Drywall Jointing System (for use with taper edge board).
APPLICATION
DETAILS
1. Fix 38mm x 38mm timber strips along floor and ceiling and vertically up walls
to form a perimeter.
2. Nail the first face layer of 12,5mm Rhinoboard to one side with suitable
nails.
3. Dab lines of Rhinolite vertically at 600mm centres to the back of the face
layer.
4. Fix first 15mm x 100mm Rhino Firestop stud in place.
5. Dab Rhinolite onto the back of the first stud.
6. Fix second 15mm x 100mm Rhino Firestop stud in place.
7. Dab Rhinolite onto second stud.
8. Fix second 12,5mm face layer in place using suitable nails hammered into
38mm x 38mm timber surround. Allow to dry.
9a. If using square edge board, fix face layers of board in such a way that
the underlying Rhinolite squeezes through the joint. This can be removed from
the surface to provide a quick clean linear appearance
9b. If using taper edge board, tape and joint according to data sheet for Hand
Jointing Application.
