TO STEEL FRAMING
1. Set out as per
plan, allowing openings on bottom track only for door frames. Fix Drywall track
to floor and ceiling support structure at 600 mm centres.
2. Drywall studs are inserted
into floor and ceiling track with a twist motion. Allow a 10 mm clearance between
top of stud and track. Erect studs at 600 mm centres.
3. Corner track fixed as
per detail.
4. Corner studs erected
as per detail allowing clearance between A and B for Rhinoboard. C is for the
fixing of skirtings.
5. T-Junction studs erected
as per detail allowing clearance between D and F for Rhinoboard.
6. Studs
should only be secured at corners, door frames or door openings with 3,2 mm
diameter pop rivets.
7. Steel
door frames are fixed by screwing Drywall stud to fixing plates welded inside
throat of frame. Allow clearance either side of stud for Rhinoboard as per detail
1.
8. Door
openings are constructed as per detail. Extra support in the form of timber
will be required when hanging solid core doors.
CHECK LIST
Check that tracks are fixed securely.
Check that appropriate studs are secured.
Check that all studs are properly spaced.
Check all walls are level and plumb.
Check all door frames and openings are properly fixed, level and plumb.
