Everite Building Products, wholly owned by JSE listed Group Five, has been associated with the South African building industry for more than sixty years. Producing a wide range of materials that satisfy the needs of the commercial, industrial and residential market sectors, Everite is renowned for its comprehensive range of fibre-cement roofing, ceilings, cladding and pipes amongst others.

Extensive research and development spanning more than 20 years has resulted in introducing an environmentally friendly material - asbestos-free Nutec, to replace the traditional fibre-cement material. Initially launched in the late 1980s with the manufacture of asbestos-free Nutec flat sheets, the Nutec formula is now applied to all products and components manufactured by Everite Building Products since December 2002.

Comprising a special mix of Portland cement, silica, additives and organic fibres (wood-cellulose), asbestos-free NUTEC exhibits exceptional high performance properties when compared to traditional fibre cement products. The added benefits include: use of safe, renewable fibres; considerable tensile strength with enhanced dynamic load bearing properties; excellent thermal properties; water- and wind resistance; hail resistance; fire resistance and resistance to fungus, rodents and acid.

A programme of quality assurance in accordance with the requirements of the International Standards Organisation (ISO 9001) is entrenched in Everite's process and management systems. Qualified personnel continuously monitor quality of all products as specified by the South African National Standards and recognised international bodies.

The companies 54 hectare manufacturing facility near Johannesburg is well located and has immediate access to all major road and rail links to national destinations and major ports. A large selection of Nutec products is distributed through leading stockists countrywide and an established export market further endorses the international acceptance of the Nutec range of products.

Products

From the rugged robust statement made by Nutec Eyethu Roofing to the delicate Nutec Victorian S rib or Nutec roofing slate for that elegant smooth finish, the design flexibility of these products stretches as far as your imagination.

The Nutec Roofing Range is complemented with all necessary finishing components including ridge caps, flashing and fixing accessories. In addition, Nutec Fascias, Barge Board Covers and Rainwater Goods form part of the Nutec roofing product selection.

Featuring high strength and dimensional stability, the inherent properties of cement ensure that Nutec ceilings will not deteriorate with age, rot or be damaged by termites or rodents.  In addition, they are non-combustible and form a perfect firebreak. Being lightweight ensures quick and easy installation not withstanding the savings made in transport. 

And to add that perfect finish for any ceiling, the Nu cornice from Everite provides simple style and elegance where its needed.   

Nutec Brandered Ceiling (nail up) is the economical solution when it comes to satisfying "fit for purpose" criteria in ceiling design. Manufactured in a natural colour that will accept all water-based paints without pre treatment, it is available in plain and textured surfaces. The textured finish allows for the innovative use of colour that can highlight the features of the board.

Nutec Suspended Ceiling Boards fit the bill perfectly when used in the exposed grid suspended ceiling system. Nutec Vinyl-Clad range provides the permanent finish where the specification calls for high performance commensurate with low maintenance

Nutec flat sheet are an economical, multi-purpose building board that can be used in diverse exterior and interior applications, ranging from floor decking, cladding, eaves linings and fascias to ceilings, partitioning and panelling. Nutec flat sheets are available in different thicknesses, from 5mm up to 20mm and are supplied in a neutral colour that can accept a wide variety of coatings and paints to suit the palette of any application.

The range includes Nutec Tongue & Groove which features a realistic wood grain finish and is suitable for use in a variety of applications, both interior and exterior. Supplied in a natural colour and, as it is compatible with a variety of paints, the timber-like finish can be enhanced with wood stain varnishes or paint techniques.

Nutec Building Plank - "Vermont" provides an out of the ordinary solution for external and internal cladding. Usually installed in a ship lapped pattern, Vermont is available in a plain and two textured finishes, which gives the realistic look and feel of timber. Application possibilities range from facades for upmarket complexes to the external skin of timber framed dwellings. Vermont is ideally suited for upgrading facades or adding a striking look to new developments.

Nutec Building Columns
Nutec Building Columns are manufactured using the unique NUTEC asbestos-free formulation. Due to the inherent properties of Nutec, the columns are strong, durable and can be used as a permanent shuttering for reinforced concrete. Contemporary trends in architecture show that columns are being used internally and externally for functional and aesthetic considerations.

Nutec Pipes
Nutec pipes are ideal for storm water and sewer reticulation applications. Manufactured with a special mix of Portland cement, PVa and organic fibres (wood-cellulose), the range is produced in lengths of 5 meters and in a selection of diameters from 150mm to 1800mm. Nutec Pipes perform well under the same external service loads as those for reinforced concrete pipe. A range of manhole channel fittings compliments the pipe range. Nutec Pipes carry the SANS 819:2001 mark.
