PRODUCT DATA SHEET

Description
An aqueous acrylic mastic reinforced with a non woven membrane forming a durable flexible laminate which will bridge cracks and conform to any contour or shape.

Uses
• Waterproofing of concrete roofs and parapet walls
• Over coating and waterproofing of mastic asphalt roofs
• Waterproofing of laps, joints and fasteners on asbestos and metal roof sheeting
• Protection and vapour sealing of foamed thermal insulation.

Caution:
The Ivoflex system is not recommended for use;
• Under tiles, cement screeds, stone aggregate, soil in flower boxes etc.
• Gutters, channels or other surfaces where water will pond for extended periods.
• Always ensure that the roof has sufficient falls to outlets and areas subject to ponding are filled with Ivory 129 polymer mortar prior to the application of the Ivoflex system.

Application Of Ivoflex Waterproofing System
1. Prepare to clean, dry smooth substrate filling any cracks, holes or hollows with a suitable grout such as Ivory 129 polymer mortar.
2. Apply Ivory Ivoseal primer at 5m²/ℓ, allowing 2 - 4 hours drying. For galvanised or aluminium surfaces prime with Ivory Ivocryl Straw Primer at 5 – 6m²/ℓ.
3. Apply Ivory Ivoflex PC at 2m²/ℓ and immediately lay into wet compound a geo-textile reinforcing membrane rolling well to remove any entrapped air before completely saturating membrane with further application of Ivoflex PC at 1m²/ℓ. All joints to be overlapped by 75mm with special attention being taken to ensure complete saturation. Allow to cure for 18 hours or longer dependant on atmospheric conditions.
4. Apply one or more finish coats of Ivoflex H.V. to completely obliterate the reinforcing profile with a total application of Ivoflex H.V. of 2m²/ℓ.

• Ease of maintenance - any accidental damage to the Ivoflex system can be rapidly repaired by means of a patch.

Maintenance Coat
After a 5 to 10 year exposure period the Ivoflex system can be rejuvenated to considerably extend its life by applying two coats of Ivoflex H.V. to a total application rate of 1ℓ/m².

Technical Evaluation
A ten (10) year evaluation report compiled by the C.S.I.R. is available on request.
