Advantages when using ISOBOARD®
|
|
- |
Roof sheets are fixed to purlins through
ISOBOARD®. |
- |
ISOBOARD® can be used as is, no lamination is
required. |
- |
Does not compress when fixing roof
sheets through the board, due to high
compressive strength. |
- |
Water penetrating fixing holes, does not
affect the board. |
- |
Long lengths of ISOBOARD® reduce installation
costs. |
- |
The white colouring of ISOBOARD® reduces
lighting requirements. |
- |
No support is required for recommended spans.
(See below) |
- |
ISOBOARD® will take the shape of a curved roof
with a 5m radius or flatter. |
- |
ISOBOARD® is washable. |
|
|
|
Recommended spans for over-purlin applications:
(allowing for max. 10mm deflection)
|
|
- |
20mm thickness up to 1.0m |
- |
25mm thickness up to 1.2m |
- |
30mm thickness up to 1.5m |
- |
+40mm thickness up to 1.8m |
|
Note: For
S-rib Chromadek Roof-sheets the span should be reduced by 0,30m
and a slip sheet should be placed between
ISOBOARD® and roof sheets. |
|
|
How is ISOBOARD®
installed in over-purlin applications?
|
|
- |
Adjacent boards must join on the purlin. and a
gap of 5 mm should be allowed between butt ends
of adjacent boards. |
- |
A gap of 5mm should be allowed between butt
ends of adjacent boards. |
- |
Slip sheets should be used to separate
ISOBOARD® from steel roof sheets with a chromadek
finish. |
- |
Roof battens are predrilled and fixed through
ISOBOARD® to rafters using
coachscrews in case of double volume designed
homes.
|
|
|
Site Handling of ISOBOARD®:
|
|
- |
Product to be handled with care to
prevent damage, and be stored under a roof, away
from UV rays and dust. |
- |
Stains can be wiped off with a wet rag dipped
in softened water. |
- |
Boards installed during construction of a
building should be pre-wiped with a wet rag
dipped in softened water.
|
NOTE: Fitting
boards between top-hat sections is not deemed to
be an over purlin installation. See suspended
ceiling section. |
