Superflex

Description

Marley Superflex consists of a high quality fully flexible vinyl flooring and wallcladding available in tile and sheet form and in various thicknesses. Marley Superfiex combines a distinctive yet forgiving marble effect, with high standards of performance in terms of durability and low maintenance.

Should a sealed, water-tight finish be required, Marley Superflex sheeting can be welded with Superflex Welding Rod

Installation

Sub-Floors

Marley Superflex is suitable for installation on most types of sub-floors, but in the case of to earth concrete, it is essential that a damp-proof membrane is incorporated. Ensure that the sub-floor is completely smooth, level, hard, dry and clean before laying commences. The final appearance and ultimate wearability of the floor covering is governed by the surface upon which it is laid and care should be taken to ensure that the tight foundation is provided. All sub-floors are to be tested for moisture prior to installation. The Marley Technical Department can offer advice in this regard.

Welding

Marley Superflex may, 24 hours after installation, be welded, using a fully flexible Marley Welding Rod to provide a continuous surface. Wallcladding may be hot seam welded if required. A colour range of Marley Welding Rod is available to select from.

Adhesives

Marley No. 60 Acrylic Adhesive for floor tiles and sheeting, and Marley No. 71 Contact Adhesive for wallcladding are the recommended adhesives for use with Marley Superflex and should be applied in accordance with Marley's recommendations.

Maintenance

The newly laid Mariey Superflex floor should, after 72 hours be scrubbed with a diluted neutral detergent complying with SABS 825 and thoroughly rinsed. Apply three coats of a water based floor dressing complying to SABS 1042. Marley Superflex floors will retain their excellent appearance if an occasional application of floor dressing is applied.
