| Making the right connections in the Building Industry |
| |
| Timber fastening devices by eCo solve countless connection problems for
professional builders and home constructors alike. These are just some
of the wide variety of fasteners available that help you make the right
connections. If your business is Building, eCo Fasteners can help. |
| |
| eCo GRYPA |
| |
| eCo
Grypa connector plates are designed for the production of on-site
roof trusses. The application of the plate is simple and requires no more
skill than the positioning of the plate and hammering home of the teeth. |
|
| Our CAD facility provides an accurate design for the use of the eCo
Grypa plate. eCo Grypa plates are suitable
for a wide range of applications in timber joinery such as site splicing,
restraining end splitting in timber or where astrong connection is required. |
| Note that a design is needed for the trusses. |
| |
| eCo SPEEDBRACE |
| |
| eCo
Speedbrace is a pre-punched shallow "V" profile galvanised metal
tension bracing strip, designed to brace top chords, bottom chords and
webs. The bracing and connecting details are designed to provide equivalent
bracing and stiffening properties to timber bracing. |
|
|
| eCo JOIST HANGERS |
| |
| eCo Joist Hangers are designed to provide a strong rigid joint between
two members meeting at right angles. Typical applications include joist
to beam, beam to beam, rafter to beam. |
|
| Available in sizes 76mm x 130mm and 76mm x 220mm, they can carry loads
of 6kN respectively, when nailed and bolted. |
| |
| eCo TRUSS HANGERS |
| |
| eCo
Truss Hangers provide a secure means of support to connect beams,
joists or trusses. |
| The truss hanger is available in three sizes for supporting 38mm, 50mm
and 76mm wide timber sections. The 38mm wide hanger is available for both
90 and 45 junctions in either left or right hand versions. |
|
| It is easily fixed by means of nails or bolts through pre-drilled holes.
The hangers have a multiple of applications which include hipped roofs,
pergolas, carports, floor joists etc. The load bearing capacity is 4,23kN
when nailed, however when the hanger is bolted with tooth ring connectors
or rawl bolted to concrete with M12 anchors the load bearing is 5,0kN.
Mini Truss hangers are also available for lighter structures. |
|
| |
| eCo POST ANCHOR BASE |
|
| The eCo
Post Anchor Base is designed to provide efficient and economical
anchorage of timber posts to concrete slabs. Engineerd to resist uplift
resulting from high velocity winds. |
| The bottom of the post is kept above ground level so that there is no
contact with dampness. |
| The eCo
Post Anchor Base can be adjusted after installation. Suitable
for fixing to existing or new concrete. Can resist uplift of 5,0kN (500kg). |
| |
| eCo TOOTH CONNECTORS |
| |
| These multi-toothed connectors are designed for use in soft timber only
(M5 max.). |
|
| The connectors must be pressed into position. It is unusual to embed
the connector using a special clamping device and to fit a standard 12mm
bolt with eCo square washer. The strength of the joint is increased by
shear transfer of bolt-bearing teeth enabling the use of smaller timbers
and less bolts per joint. No joint preparation is required. Available with
a single side or double side of teeth in 50mm, 63mm and 75mm diameter. |
| |
| eCo HURRICANE CLIP |
| |
| The eCo
Hurricane Clip is a galvanised steel framing anchor designed
for the connection of structural timber members to ezch other at right-angles.
Typical applications include connecting timber purlins to the rafter of
a timber truss. |
|
| The eCo
Hurricane Clip may be attached by Permfix nails or bolts through
pre-drilled holes. A pair can carry a load of 1,2kN. eCo Hurricane Clips
to be used in pairs. |
| |
| eCo BRACING STRAP |
| |
| eCo
Bracing Strap is a perforated galvanised steel strip 25mm x 1,0mm
which is used extensively for cross bracing frames or bracing roof trusses
during erection. The staggered perforations simplify fixing and prevent
splitting of the timber while nailing. |
|
| eCo
Bracing Strap is also used to tie down roof trusses in conventional
brick-built structures. Tensioners are used with bracing strap to achieve
maximum tension after fixing. They are easily fitted and require no special
tools. |
| |
| eCo TRIP-L-GRIP |
| |
| The eCo
Trip-L-Grip is the strongest and most versatile
anchorage for timber joints. It has been engineered as an economical connection
unit to simplify structural jointing in timber roof, wall ceiling and floor
framing, in timber frame housing or timber carpentry. |
|
| The design incorporates fold-points so that it can
be bent on the job to suit any application. It is ideal for the professional
builder and can be used by the home handyman. |
| |
| eCo LOG DOG |
| |
| Simplest and lowest method of connecting treated pine
logs or gum poles. Can be used to join logs at any angle. The fastener
is a rigidly formed galvanised metal cradle which will accept the natural
variations present in log material ranging from 90mm to 140mm diameter. |
|
| Quick and easy to install, four downward facing spikes
and two internal claws stabilise the connector in any position on round
log surfaces. One centre nail is all that is needed for most structures,
but additional provision has been made for additional fixing on each wing
for permanent structures or for fixing the top log. |
| |
| eCo GUMBOU |
| |
|
| eCo
Gumbou construction brackets are metal connectors
for round-pole timber structures. The brackets enable timber structures
to be erected rapidly, with strong, reliable joints, and without affecting
the efficiency of the preservation treetment of the timber. |
| |
| eCo ANGLE BRACE |
| |
| eCo
Angle Brace is an improved method bracing timber
house frames. It utilises the tension and compression strength of steel
with the properties of timber: Simple and quick to install, it fits directly
into a single saw cut and is nailed to each stud. It is highly suited to
panel and home-knit manufactured or transportable homes as it ensures adequate
rigidity in transportation. |
|
| The eCo
Angle Brace has a staggered nail hole configuration
to ensure adequate fixing to each stud and to reduce splitting. Nail holes
are counter sunk 3mm to allow a flat head nail to be recessed below the
face of the brace to avoid interference with the internal cladding material. |
| |
| eCo POLE HANGER |
| |
| The eCo
Pole Hanger is designed to provide efficient
and economical anchorage of gum poles to brick or concrete walls in the
construction of car ports, pergolas etc. It is easy to fix to the wall
using M12 anchors for up to 500kg loading capacity. |
|
| The patented eCo
Light Pole Hanger has been designed
to make pole to pole or pole to flat surface connection easier. Tested
for loading capacity of 380kg. |
|
| |
| eCo TIBOND |
| |
| eCo
Tibond is a continuous lug system designed to overcome
problems associated with bonding brick in-fill panels to concrete, steel,
timber or existing brickwork. The eCo Tibond strip is 1360mm long, 40mm
wide and 1,6mm thick. Each strip is profile cut to give 4 pairs of lugs,
305mm long at 340 centres i.e. every fourth course of brickwork. |
|
| For fixing purposes the strips are pre-drilled with
four 4mm diameter holes at 340mm centres. eCo Tibond may be cast in during
construction or surface fixed, using a 3,7mm diameter pin which is shot
fixed to the concrete or steel. eCo Tibond is screwed onto timber members.
eCo Tibond is available in galvanised mild steel. (3CR12 stainless steel
on request). |
| |
| eCo SHADE CLOTH FASTENERS |
| |
|
| eCo
Shade Cloth fasteners provides the best method
of securing shade cloth quickly and easily. The teeth of the fasteners
are designed to pass freely through the holes in the shade cloth leaving
the cloth free from tears. The fastener is secured by the hammering home
of the teeth. |
