TAL offers an effective range of tiling products, including ready-mix paste adhesives for normal and flexible applications; standard set and rapid set cement-based adhesives; primers and additives; wall, floor and chemically resistant grouts; one-part, high strength, rapid setting flexible adhesives; and a range of tools and ancillary products.

The Company takes pride in the fact that all the tile fixing products in the local industry were first developed at TAL. This proud record results from an emphasis which combines practical curiosity and rigorous research, and as new tiles are introduced into the local market, TAL strives to ensure that it has an adhesive system suitable for the fixing of that product.

TAL offers a free technical specification service to the building industry. Accurate, detailed and tailor-made for each project, the TAL Materials & Methods Specification acts as an essential benchmark and control document before, during and after any contract. This document includes complete technical instructions on background preparations and adhesive systems and applications for specific surfaces and tile panel conditions.

In addition, TAL has a national technical advice centre and offers free, on-the-job advice on any contract, big or small. The experience and expertise of its technical advisory staff is only a phone-call away.

TAL also undertakes to investigate any technical problem relating to tiling on a project where its products are being used, and a member of the technical team will scrutinise the problem on-site. Back in the fully equipped and sophisticated TAL laboratory, a battery of tests will be run on the site samples.

Clients can also have peace of mind with the TAL 10 Year Warranty, which is offered on
tiling projects, providing the following criteria are met:

• A Materials and Methods Specification is issued by TAL for the project
• TAL products are used strictly in accordance with the specification
• The tiling is undertaken by a TAL Registered Tiler, or the tile installation is monitored by an approved engineer.

With the above in place the professional will immediately qualify for the 10 Year Warranty. This will alleviate the risk of any failures, as TAL will carry the risk on the professional’s behalf.
