ROCKWOOL SEMI-RIGID AND RIGID BOARDS

Description
Resin bonded rockwool rigid and semirigid stabs. Available plain or faced with Reinforced Kraft/aluminium foil, Tissue or Woven glass cloth.

Application
Thermal and acoustic insulation in a wide range of applications from domestic appliance and structural uses to industrial applications. Particularly suitable for insulation of flat or slightly curved surfaces.

Operating Temperature
Can be used at continuous operating temperatures of up to 650ºC. Faced boards - limiting temperature of outer facing is 50ºC.

Fire Performance
Non-combustible - Conforms to SABS 0177 Part V.
Class I Fire Index - Conforms to SABS 0177 Part III.

Biosolubility
Is soluble in lung fluid. It will thus dissolve in a matter of days and pass through the body naturally.

Permanence
Is rot proof, odourless, does not sustain vermin and will not encourage the growth of fungi, mould or bacteria. Will not settle under vibration and is dimensionally stable under varying conditions of temperature and humidity.

Chloride Content
Contains inherently low levels of water-leachable chlorides, typically I ppm (max. 5 pprn) and thus will neither cause nor promote corrosion
