ROCKWOOL WIRED MATTRESS INSULATION
 Description
Resin bonded rockwool blanket stitched with galvanised wire.
Application
Thermal insulation of large ducts, vessels, boilers and high temperature plants. Particularly suitable for large curved or irregular shaped surfaces.
Operating Temperature
Can be used at continuous operating temperatures of up to 65C.
Fire Performance
Non-combustible - Conforms to SABS 0177 Part V.
Class I Fire Index - Conforms to SABS 0177 Part III.
Permanence
Rot-proof, odourless, does not sustain vermin and will not encourage the growth of fungi, mould or bacteria. Will not settle under vibration and is dimensionally stable under varying conditions of temperature and humidity.
Biosolubility
Is soluble in lung fluid. It will thus dissolve in a matter of days and pass through the body naturally.
Acoustic Performance
Will provide effective acoustical insulation where there is a need to reduce noise levels from pipework or to absorb sound in other applications. Actual performance varies with thickness.
Chloride Content
Contains inherently low levels of water-leachable chlorides, typically 2 ppm (max 5
ppm) and thus will neither cause nor promote corrosion.
