ROCKWOOL FLEXIBLE FELT
Description
Resin bonded rockwool blanket supplied in rolls. Available plain or faced with Reinforced
kraft/aluminium foil, Tissue or Woven glass cloth.
Application
Thermal and acoustic insulation of ducts, vessels, boilers, ovens and in dry wall applications.
Operating Temperature
Can be used at continuous operating temperatures of up to 650'C. Faced felt - limiting temperature of outer facing is 50'C
Fire Performance
Non-combustible - conforms to SABS 0177 Part V.
Class I Fire Index - conforms to SABS 0177 Part 111.

Biosolubility
Is soluble in lung fluid. It will thus dissolve in a matter of days and pass through the body naturally.
Permanence
Is rot-proof, odourless, does not sustain vermin and will not encourage the growth of fungi, mould or bacteria. Will not settle under vibration and is dimensionally stable under varying conditions of temperature and humidity.
Acoustic Performance
Will provide effective acoustical insulation where there is a need to reduce noise levels or to absorb sound. Actual performance varies with thickness and surface finish.

Chloride Content
Contains inherently low levels of water-leachable chlorides, typically 2 ppm (max. 5
